Written a day before her current thread with Ulquiorra

I have lost count of how many times I have gone outside the hotel walls, to the forests and canyons and valleys and lands beyond that seem to stretch almost without end (except that I have seen the end of the line, and it is pitch black and makes my hands bleed when I touch it).

The hotel lives. It is a living thing. This is a possible truth, because over the past month I have left the hotel many times. Each time, as I approach the hotel from a different angle, it seems to have changed. The main face stays the same, but the back differs at times. Gardens spring up in days, rooms seem to tack onto the main floor just as fast.

Theory: the hotel lives. It breathes and multiplies on end to suit its own needs, whatever they may be. You cannot tell from the inside, but there seems to be an endless and vast sea of rooms, that appear and disappear and move around at whim.

(On the ground floor, the constants are: the lobby, the restaurant, the elevator, the gardens. Everything else connects through hallways leading off from the lobby, through a variety of doors.)

I must go out and forage for more mushrooms. It seems that one of the things this living hotel cannot do is gather its own food.

Rei finds a way to block anyone from commenting; she does not want to discuss her findings with anyone else, not until she's comfortable with them herself.
